Hybrid classes are very interesting. It’s a class when you meet once a week but have online assignments. They are great choice to have when you don’t want to take too many classes. These classes may look better on your schedule but it requires outside work. My first semester here I had to take a hybrid class for my major and I didn’t know what to expect. It’s amazing to have class once a week but it gets time consuming. A teacher would use canvas to have discussions and papers that are due for each week. Also, they might have lecture notes on canvas and they might have readings for the week.
You have to constantly check on canvas and the syllabus to make sure you keep up with all the work. I personally work better in a classroom but having hybrid classes are great. It could get overwhelming when you have other assignments too. Taking a hybrid class is another responsibility, some teachers aren’t going to remind you when assignments are due. I would recommend a hybrid class if you don’t like going to classes every day. Also, if you can’t focus a lot in class, then this would be a great type of class to take. Just a reminder, if you choose a hybrid class don’t procrastinate on your work it will start to pile up very quickly.
