Winter break is finally here! I’m sure you have been waiting for this moment since we came back from Thanksgiving! Now just be sure not to forget everything you learned before break during break. During this first semester I’m sure you have learned many new skills and you know a lot more than what you did before you started college in the fall. The key is not to forget what you learned over winter break. Forgetting all of your studying habits and organizational skills over break will force you to almost start over when you come back for the spring semester. This will be really unfortunate especially if you found something that works really well for you in terms of studying for this semester. For example, if you learned that waking up at 6:30am in order to get homework done while everyone was still works best for you then you should continue to do that for the next semester. Remembering stuff like this can be very beneficial in the long run. However, if you were to forget this then it might cause your grades to suffer in the upcoming semester because you can’t remember what worked well in the past. Therefore, if you can remember or write down everything that you did well this semester it will make the transition from winter break into the spring semester much easier than before.
