What’s Time?

Well I don’t know about all of you but I am certainly overwhelmed this semester. Applying to jobs, classes, groups and clubs and so many more things are happening and I feel like I am not being efficient with my time management. If you are at all like me and are struggling in this area, I am here to give you a few great tips on how to effectively manage your time.

  1. Be Organized
  • Use a planner, email, calendar for all your events, homework, tests and everything else
  • Have an organized work place. Wherever you do your homework be sure it is clean and organized at all times.
  • Use to do lists
  1. Plan Ahead
  • Determine how long tasks are going to take
  • Break larger tasks into smaller ones so you’re not so overwhelmed
  1. Prioritize Your Tasks
  • Rank your tasks from highest priority to lowest priority
  • Set short term and long term goals
  1. Avoid Overload
  • Include time for rest, sleep, eating, exercise and socializing
  • Take short study breaks
  • Do not procrastinate
  1. Be Able to be Flexible
  • Unexpected things occur so be sure to be able to fit that into your schedule
  • Know how to rearrange your schedule so it doesn’t manage you.
  • Ask for help!!
  1. Have a Vision
  • Don’t forget the big picture
  • Have a positive attitude
