Just What You Needed to Hear!

Yesterday was National Random Acts of Kindness Day, so here are a few words of encouragement to keep you going strong during these cold winter days!

  1. It’s okay to have a night in, and just do nothing
  2. Wear what makes you happy
  3. It’s not too late to change your major
  4. You can do it!
  5. Push yourself to think creatively
  6. Congrats on getting into college, you should be proud of yourself!
  7. Sometimes being single is healthy
  8. Speak from the heart
  9. It’s okay to take a break from studying
  10. Your friends are really glad to have you around
  11. Eating healthy is great, but treat yourself from time to time!
  12. It’s okay to ask for help
  13. Your hard work WILL pay off in the end
  14. There’s only one you, no one else has the same experiences, thoughts and feelings as you, so your point of view is unique!
  15. Don’t give up on that difficult assignment!
  16. Surround yourself with a great support system and give that same support in return
  17. Sometimes setbacks are really just opportunities for a do-over
  18. It’s okay to make mistakes, there are few that can’t be fixed in the end
  19. A good night’s sleep and a balanced meal can make all the difference in how you feel
  20. It’s okay to take a sick day

Remember, there are plenty of offices and people here to help you during your time at Salem State, including the First Year Experience Office! Have a wonderful rest of your semester!
