What to Do When There is No Class

Well, September and October have flew by really fast and now we are entering November and December. What is so special about those months? Well, that is when school will have some holidays that nobody will have classes on like Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Winter Break. But what should one do during those breaks. Well that is what I am here to help you with, figuring out what to do when there are no classes.

  1. Spend some time with the family. When vacations roll around, most people head back home to spend some quality time with the family. Remember though that vacation does not last forever, so make sure you spend really good time with your family. Here are some examples on what to do with the family; watch a movie together, go apple picking, help with the groceries, talk to your family about how your semester is going. Remember to always spend some time with the family if you can.
  2. Hang out with some friends. If you plan on staying on campus for Veterans day because the Residence Halls do not close, why don’t you go downtown or to the mall with some of your friends if they are staying as well. If nobody is here on campus that you know, you should make some friends at the dining halls with some people who did stay on campus for the holiday.
  3. I’ll let you in on a little secret. If you have homework during the vacation, do it immediately. Do not wait till the last second to get your work over with, get it done as soon as possible so you can enjoy your vacation stress free.
  4. If you do not know what to do during the vacation, you are not alone. When the time comes something will pop up so you do not need to plan ahead so much for the break.
