Hello First Years!
I hope that your semester is going well! Have you ever wanted to get involved in more events on campus but aren’t sure when they’re occurring? WELL, now there’s an app for that!! Salem State now has an app that is available for smart phones! This app is where clubs and organizations can post about events that they are hosting on campus
The main page gives you a list view of the event name, the host of the event as well as the date and time of the event. Once you click on a particular event you are brought to another page where it gives a longer description of what is going to occur at this particular event. The location is also listed on this page!
Just to name a few of the events that are occurring this week! Wednesday February 8th at 3pm in Sullivan room 106, the organization SEAM (Student Education Association of Massachusetts) is holding a general body meeting where they will be discussing different service projects and other events planned on campus and snacks will be provided! Also on Wednesday February 8th at 4:30pm the Alliance is hosting The Privilege Walk event in The Metro Room of Ellison Campus Center. This event will have an activity that highlights how different communities are marginalized and privileged in our society. Thursday, February 9th at 7:00pm the WMWM radio station is holding a general body meeting in the Underground room of Ellison Campus Center! Lastly an event occurring this week is on Friday, February 10th at 8:00pm Gassett Fitness center is hosting after-dark BubbleBall!
I hope that this blog finds you well and that now you can be more informed about the amazing events that clubs and organizations are holding on campus! The clubs and organizations love when people come to their events, so try and attend one event for a club this semester that you may not usually go to! Have a great rest of your week!
