Hey First Years!
It may still be the beginning of Spring semester, but it’s time to start planning for next year! Your FAFSA application should be getting completed, as well as some of your scholarship information, but what about Housing?! For students who are seeking to live on campus, the housing deposit (of $300) is due by March 1st!
Paying your Housing Deposit will guarantee you a place in the Salem State University Residence Halls, as well as the opportunity to take part in the room selection lottery. Once paying the deposit by March 1st, you will receive a lottery number in the mid- to end of March that will notify you of the date and time you are able to select a spot in the Residence Halls.
Follow the instructions below to pay your housing deposit:
- Log on to your Navigator account and select Student Accounts.
2. Once in Student Accounts, select “Deposits”. Indicate that you are paying for Fall 2018, then select the type of deposit you are making (Housing). If you are paying with a credit or debit card, select “Housing Deposit CC Fall”, if you are paying with and electronic check select “Housing Deposit eCheck Fall”
After entering your payment information and receiving a confirmation email, you are all set for the payment aspect. Now you will need to wait on an email from Residence Life that will instruct you how and when to select your room and/or roommate(s). You’ll be able to select that information through your Housing Portal, which can be found on your Navigator account.
If you have any specific questions about the Housing process, please reach out the Resindece Life office, which can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the Residence Life Office at (978) 542-6416.
