So we’ve all seen that scene in a Rom-Com where the couple goes to a fancy restaurant and there’s like a million knives and forks. Between trying to figure out which spoon you should be using or which hand you hold a knife in, business etiquette is the last thing on someone’s mind.
Career Services is hosting a business Etiquette dinner, where anyone can join and learn lessons on dining in any type of setting. The dinner will be hosted at Spinelli’s of Lynnfield; the hotel is gorgeous and sits in front of Lake Suntaug. It’s a 3-course meal and there is a presentation from professionals.
The dinner will be held on Thursday the 22nd at 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Students do not have to pay to attend the dinner only for their seat. Transportation will be offered back and forth from the restaurant. Students must place a $10 down payment in order to hold their place, the down payment will be returned once on the shuttle.
The main topics during the workshop will be;
- Introductions and Handshakes
- Appropriate Ordering
- Your Place Setting
- Utensil Use and Placement
- Table Manners
- Food Transportation
- Dinner Conversation
- Thank You Notes
