Ways to Connect on Campus

There are many ways to get involved on campus and to develop a connection with the SSU community. Here is a list of things to do on campus and some tips!

  1. Attend an Event 

This spring semester, there are several events happening on campus in person and virtually. Events are posted here, https://www.salemstate.edu/calendar 

  1. Join a Club

Salem State offers over 50 clubs and student organizations on campus. Lists of all of our clubs can be found here, https://www.salemstate.edu/clubs Click on the names to learn more. If you are interested in joining click “join” at the top of the page. If you’re interested in starting a new club or organization, you can find information here, https://www.salemstate.edu/campus-life/lead-leadership-engagement-advocacy-and-diversity/starting-new-student-organization 

  1. Become an Admissions Ambassador 

As an ambassador you will interact with prospective students and their families by giving tours and working Open Houses & Accepted Student Days. You will work with other Salem State students to embrace the SSU community while creating a welcoming and exciting environment for prospective students. This is an on campus paid position that is flexible with your schedule. If you’re interested, email ambassadors@salemstate.edu 

  1. Connect with Career Services

Career services is here to help with career development, job search, grad school search, resumes and cover letters, as well as interviewing skills! Visit https://www.salemstate.edu/careers for more information or to schedule an appointment.
